Happy Easter!

I've got the fireplace on this morning - to try and chase out the rain and gloom.  I was whining to myself about the weather - and then I remembered - if the weather were a reflection of that first Easter weekend, this is probably what it really felt like to the disciples on Saturday - dreary, hopeless, dark.  Because the Jesus they loved and depended on was gone - and they thought it was over for good.  They didn't know that Easter morning was coming!!

But we do : ).  So we can wait through this cold, damp day.  We can endure the dark places in our lives.  We can live with hope in the middle of dismal circumstances.  Because we know something the disciples didn't know on Easter Saturday.  We know that Sunday morning will bring the best news that the world has ever heard - Jesus is alive!!!  And not just for a little while - but for forever.

So tomorrow morning, I look forward to the sunshine.  But MUCH bigger than that, I look forward to celebrating the news that has changed our lives forever - JESUS IS RISEN : )!!!  Have a wonderful Easter!
